저도 러시아 혁명 과정에 대해 몇 가지 의문을 품고 있었는데, 님의 글이 많은 도움이 되는군요!

말씀하신 대로, 당시 스탈린은 볼쉐비끼당을 장악하고 있었던 유태인들을 죄다 몰아내고 혁명 후 피폐해진 러시아를 ‘부국강병’ 노선으로 이끌려고 했고 이에 반대하는 당내 유태인 무리를 숙청하는 데요, 러시아에서 미국으로 도망간 유태인 트로츠키의 추종자들은 이후 미국 네오콘의 핵심 정책 이론가로 등용되어, 중동 및 세계 침략 전쟁의 선봉에 서고 . . . 뭐 스토리는 그렇게 진행되는 것 같습니다.

이 분야에서 주목할 만한 글을 남긴 인물로는 리투아니아에서 미국으로 이주한 벨다스 아넬라우스카스(Valdas Anelauskas)라는 작가(Kevin McDonald의 제자)분이 있는 데요, 이분이 쓴 『Zionism and Russia: 8 Pacifica Forum Lectures』 라는 글에 이런 말이 나옵니다.

The purging of Zionists (in the Party and State apparatus)/ began as early as 1929. At first secret methods, rather than open measures (such as arrest and trial),/ were employed. From that time onwards, Stalin/ found/ himself in a situation where he/ might, albeit at a later stage, be declared a political criminal. The methods by which he/ worked/ were, as I/ have said, borrowed from his Zionist opponents: when in Rome, do (as the Romans/ do). Those methods/ went far beyond the limits of what is done in civilized countries. But he/ deliberately practiced/ such methods. He/ saw/ no possibility of liquidating/ Zionism in Russia by any other means, and this/ was later to cost/ him/ the loss of his reputation. Secret methods of eliminating/ one’s opponents/ were too costly, but from 1931 onwards they/ became/ considerably less expensive: Zionists, pro-Zionists, and those (who were caught in the trap of Zionism),/ began to be proclaimed (as members of the opposition and as counter- revolutionaries). Work/ began on arresting/ them, giving/ them/ a trial (for the sake of appearances), and liquidating/ them.

따라서 스탈린을 ‘누가’, ‘왜’ 헐뜯는지 알기 위해서는 이와 같은 역사적 배경을 알면 손쉽게 이해가 됩니다. 유태인들이 당 지도부 상층 간부로 당을 장악하여 주도적 역할을 하여 이루어진 혁명에서 ‘난데없이’ 스탈린이 나타나 자신들을 죄다 숙청하니 어느 유태인이 스탈린에 대해 좋은 감정이 있겠습니까? ‘절대로’ 칭찬할 리가 없죠! 그래서 이후 ‘스탈린 악마화’는 지금의 ‘푸틴 악마화’와 같은 방식으로 전 지구적으로 학계와 언론에서 아주 ‘체계적으로’ 이루어지게 된 것이더군요. 그래서 우리는 스탈린을 ‘악마’와 동급으로 알고 있고요. 우리가 알고 있는 지식의 90%는 다 거짓말과 사기라는 진리를 다시 한 번 일깨워 주는 글이었습니다.
